- Fully fund and support deployment of interoperable technology and services for first responders;
- Support the entry/exit and other initiatives leveraging IT to protect the nation’s borders from penetration by the enemy;
- Provide secure and continuous communications and data connectivity during crisis situations;
- Ensure effective data sharing technologies are fully utilized for leveraging and harnessing the nation’s intelligence, defense, homeland security and civilian assets;
- Address effective risk management protection for homeland security-related high risk technologies and services;
- Vigorously promote and insist on expanding technology industry’s abilities to support classified and sensitive civilian, DoD and intelligence community initiatives devoted to the War on Terrorism;

- Support and oversee adequate provision of equipment for the war fighter;
- Promote and fund sustainable outreach between innovative technology companies who are not traditional federal vendors and government entities fighting the War on Terrorism.
